GPSA continues to champion the needs and perspectives of our members to drive meaningful improvements across the GP training landscape. Through active and expanding stakeholder engagement, we have strengthened our presence at key decision-making tables where policies and frameworks affecting GP supervisors and practices are shaped.

Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs)
GPSA MOU with ACRRM, RACGP and RVTS in relation to the SLO Advisory Council
GPSA has an established Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM), Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and Remote Vocational Training Scheme (RVTS) to strengthen collaboration and engagement across the GP training sector through the SLO Advisory Council.
Guided by shared Terms of Reference (TOR), the SLO Advisory Council provides a national forum for Supervisor Liaison Officers (SLOs) to represent supervisors, share sector insights, and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of GP supervision and training across Australia.
The Council plays an important role in ensuring supervisors’ perspectives are heard and reflected in discussions relating to training, supervision, support and workforce sustainability.

GPSA MOU with Indigenous General Practice Trainee Network (IGPTN)
GPSA has a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Indigenous General Practice Trainee Network (IGPTN), supporting a shared commitment to strengthening the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander GP workforce through collaboration, advocacy and culturally safe training environments.
Through this partnership, GPSA and IGPTN work together to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander GP trainees and supervisors, promote workforce equity, and contribute to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia.
