Better training experiences = better doctors = better patient outcomes
In April 2023, GPSA and collaborators were the proud recipients of an RACGP Education Research Grant to translate the General Practice Clinical Learning Environment (GPCLE) framework into a self- assessment, quality improvement tool for training practices.
On Mon 11 th Sept 2023, GPSA convened an Expert Advisory Workshop in Melbourne with experts from across Australia exploring the concept of what quality training looks like – and should look like – in general practice.
This highly productive workshop produced dozens of measurable and verifiable quality indicators that training practices will be able to use to engage in a quality improvement cycle to optimise their learning environment.
GPSA and the project team are busy analysing the workshop outcomes, which will be disseminated soon for sector wide review – watch this space to contribute towards the quality of general practice training!
